Is there anyway to improve the rocktrap on a Flagship machine? I have owned a couple of Flagship machines and the rocktrap sucks. May be only stops 1 or 2 rocks out of 10. Have owned a 2388 and a 1688 and they would stop 9 out of 10 rocks. I would hate to think what it would be like if I didn't roll my fields. Seems like there design went backwards. Thanks

Yes... Remove the steel in the rotor.... Just kidding.. I think precision parts makes a different drum.

The real problem is the sump is too shallow to hold the rocks in... It knocks them down and they just jump back up and around...
Start complaining to case and have them put the APS from new Holland on it.

What do you mean it only stops 1 or two rocks, have had many many rocks in them at once, what size are you talking??

can't it be deepened??? I made the stone traps in my 8570s and 8780 deeper. no big deal... it sure helped.

The most rocks I've ever dumped at once is one. I hear them go straight through way to often. The 2388 would have many rocks in the trap .

My 9120 seems to get 9\10 and have had 4 or more in it at a time. I have actually been pretty impressed with its performance.

Yes same here, had many times four five tricks at a time when dumped, works perfectly I have found

Beginning to wonder if my feeder house or rock trap beater are running to fast. I think the 2388 had different sprockets to adjust beater speed.I know I have rocks going through because my concaves get all bent up.
