Thinking of adding rotor sweeps to our '02 R72 but worried about them increasing rotor loss. Is that a problem with moving the material on through too fast? CDF rotor is currently set up with 1/2" shims under thresher side bars, 1 pair of reverse bars on separator side, steep pitch helicals on thresher side shimmed 1/4". We run about 3/4 soys and 1/4 corn. Also is the F2 bar on adjustable sep. grate still a good idea to cut losses? Currently not running one. Running 8 row corn and 35' soys heads.
Rotor sweeps for CDF in R72

This is on the 8 bar, but I like to run the material through faster = thinner mat= easier separation, therefore sweeps.
Had 3 sweeps on rotor w/reverse bars on separator side, steep pitch helicals with no rotor loss, 9770 next to me on one field was "ugly" by comparison. I was concerned at first as well, but no issues.
