Running a 8200 flex head with sch drive. Book says to slow header drive all the way down which is around 380 rpm before switching coupler. Seems like sickle speed is too slow. Can only run 3.8 mph and get a decent cut. Header book says header drive shaft speed is 608rpm. Do I need to speed it up and them switch hose to the reel lift. Also running crary air reel and couldn't find any input speed for that. Thanks

EIP is displaying rear feed speed which should be in the 400 RPM range with corn varible slowed all the way. It should be slowed all the way with a head with sickle or air blower equiped. I suppose you could speed up 10 persent and give a test run. If it cuts better you would want to slow back down and check the size of the rear sickle drive pulley. There is about 5 different size pulley available for that spot. If a little more speed don't work you will want to adjust header to cut closer to base of the plant.
