running an s670 tier 2 with a 40 ft midwest in aus.

Having trouble with grain loss and getting a consistent readout from the sensors.

Today rotor loss and sieve loss were both running lower than usual but the machine was throwing it out the back (rotor loss).

At night they seem to run higher than during the day although grain loss doesn't vary.

What settings are people using for rotor speed and concave clearance during day/night.

I seem to be loading up the RHS of the sieve more than the left.

Any ideas

Gday mate

First year on a s670 here. Going well. We run a 9770 as well and the 670 is a much nicer machine. Only had a pressure sensor on the pro drive fail.

These settings are working well for 3ton wheat.

Rotor 850rpm during day.

Concave 18 during day

Fan 1200rpm

Chaffer 16

Sieve 10

No seperator covers. Helical concave in first postion. Jd 31wire in last two. Feed accelerator and feeder house slow.

I don't believe the grainloss sensors at all. I just work out a speed that gives low loss and reap to that.

We are running a 640d at 7 - 9 KMH.

What about canola settings, I have a variable stream rotor with small wire conclaves fitted
