There is supposed to be a kit available through Deere where you take out the pre cleaner and install plastic finger or something like it in the pre cleaners place it supposed to work better then with the precleaner has anyone done this or heard of it?

for cuttingwheat we take the precleaners all the way out.We have seen cleaner samples using the full length of the chaffer.

Been doing it here since the release of the 9870. Remove pre cleaner and bolt in fingers similar to those that are over the loss pads, only a bit longer. Not a factory kit that I am aware of though.

I'd say the majority of the class 8 & 9 Deere's in Australia would have had the pre cleaner removed.

Pull extended precleaner out replace with for sets of fingers where the extended precleaner bolts onto. The fingers are the same set used on the S670 and smaller models.

So I did it on one 680 just to make sure, cleaner sample and fewer losses with extended pre cleaner removed and fingers installed that was in 100ish bushel winter wheat, so we will do both machines.
