Can smart cooling be adjusted? I am doing lentils and it is fairly cool out so I expect engine fan blades are running fairly straight and not keeping engine compartment clean. I am getting chaff smouldering under the hydraulic filter which never happened when it was hot out. Can smart cooling be reprogrammed? This is on a 2013 S 77

It would still be nice if fan could be reprogrammed to stay full pitch a little longer to keep things cleaner, especially when it's cold out. I am not sure if it's the fan or engine that is responsible for fuel use, this Sisu is way better on fuel than my old M11 cummins. I am glad I didn't buy a bigger slip tank.

there is a solenoid next to radiator on grain tank side. We always pull the electrical connections off this when lentil harvesting to ensure a clean engine bay and stop straw residue being sucked in to engine bay if fan reverses. IMO for lentil harvesting the system should be on demand from the cab so that 1. the fan can be run at full pitch and 2. only have the fan reverse when out of the crop so lentil chaff can't be sucked in from the Left hand side

While doing my 1.5 Bpa chickpeas I had some more smoulders until I unplugged that solenoid, that fan moves air when it's full pitch and keeps engine bay spotless. Thanks old reaper. By the way I left 200 acres for the deer so I am done for 2014
