So my question is specific to seed Hawks. I have a 50 foot seedhawk with 500 tow behind cart with one fan and mechanical meters, both are 2008. My tractor is a nh t9.450 with standard Hyd pump 45 Gpm. Four hyd circuits.
My tool bar has the small rubber option on the rear so going to a bigger cart isn't an option, so I am considering getting a second tow between seed hawk cart, I have a line on a used one with twin fans and hyd meters.

Question. Do the two fans on the newer cart run off of one hyd circuit? If so can I disconect the second fan ( I won't need it) and plump in the hyd lines to the fan on my older cart that is tow behind, and then run the fans on both carts on one circuit. If not will my tractor have the hyd flow to run one fan on each cart using its own hyd circuit

I just wanna be sure this is doable without upgrading my tractor

The fans are plumbed independently. You would be a bit tight had capacity wise but should be no different than running a twin fan cart hyd wise. There are guys that do it with the std pump so you should be able to as well. Having a 50' is in your favor as you would require less air flow than a smaller drill.

According to Seed Hawk literature its 24gpm for dual fans and 12gpm for single fan plus 7gpm while lifting shanks and that drops down to 4gpm while the shanks are engaged. The newer carts use one SCV per fan. So if you only using the single fan on your old cart & a single fan on the new cart you should be ok. Shouldn't have to tee them into a single SCV, should have no problem running separate.

If your thinking of Bourgault your correct but the Seedhawks actually use very little oil to lift. I ran two Bourgault high speed fans (which is 40gpm) and a Seedhawk toolbar(7gpm) with a tractor that had 48gpm. It wasn't ideal but it worked.
