How crazy would I be to use this as a seed tender.

Now I realize it would hold over 3k bu and only has tandem wheels...
I guess they're made as a nurse tank with stabilizers to be used stationary.
But if filled to the capacity of the axles under it?
Also I'm not sure the length...
Can someone talk me out of it....

It a sand hog. I thought more of putting tracks and a fan on it and using as an air cart. Fill once and seed till you need to switch crops

I saw some of those on auction earlier this spring and thought of those portable bins. Set it up at the corner of the field and it could serve as surge storage and haul grain away from it in the morning. I would have to look back but I think the ones that sold this spring were between $5,000-$10,000.

With the Alberta oil patch for sale the last few years there are some interesting opportunities.

There was a hand full of them at the grand prairie sale. They all sold for under 10k some I think around 6k.
Have a cat 4.4 engine (rated for around 120hp!) On hyd pumps. Really neat set up.
We weren't able to actually look at them in person, part of the reason for not buying.
Also they look long... and some of our fields may be tricky to get into the approach with a max length trailer.
Also its volume vs. Axles. You would be pulling around a half full monster box everywhere.
But for the price.... LOTS of hyd components.
That power pack is pretty much worth what they sold for...
