That ship has long sailed. I checked Gaucho, but it seems really doubtful.

All part of the 'plan' for canola seed marketing. Foliar i believe is your only option.
Goucho was like candy for flea beetles anyway. Still remember the year I ordered Helix on my canola seed from SWP, picked up in the spring and it was all treated with Goucho. SWP with their infinite wisdom decided to bring all their canola in with Goucho regardless of what the customers ordered, didn't even give me a partial refund for using a cheaper product. Ended up spraying all canola with insecticide that year, followed by more days to maturity after the flea beetles had their fill and than  frost. Have not bought seed from them since then.

I never used any, The treatment works for only about five days after planting. From what I was told. Since there are non, I was told by a experienced agronomist guy that work for many years on flea beetle infestation, I should be looking for a particular type of beetle, not all of them will hurt your yield. if I see little circles on the leaf he said those will feed but not kill the plant, if I see big bite marks from the side like somebody chomped them out, those are the bad guys. He told me they travel from one direction (south side for warmth from the sun) when they come into a field (sic), and I should scout where they are on the field and then spray that area, you shouldn't have to spray the whole field if you catch them soon enough. But I never had a flea beetle problem, I think these long winters have a big hand in that.
But I really put a lot of suspect into seed treatments of any kind. if you have had problems in the immediate past then I would be concerned, but if you have a good rotation, I really don't think you will see a benefit. but that is just my opinion, not any serious researched facts.

I think you are correct combine pilot. The thing is that the treatment is mostly for insurance. If a large farm has 5000 acres of canola to spray unexpectantly it would be a disaster compared to putting a few grand into the seed.
