anyone have any experience with a small tube rotor in corn and wheat? Can't see why it would not work. We run an 8010 and a 9760 and we are getting ready to trade the old green machine away. Any info would be appreciated.
Small tube set up for rice does ok in wheat, and ok in corn. In rice and soybeans...WOW...it does super. I think if the rotor and combine were set up for wheat and corn it would really good. Takes much less hp to run and clears slugs like a champ. FWIW the rice machines around here have round bars on front concaves and large skip wire grates, 1 5/8 closz slat sieves top and bottom. Rotors are fully spiked.
