The right arrow button on my smartrax II controller in my Miller 4365 has quit working making it impossible to use autosteer because I can't agree to the terms and conditions on startup.

Farmtronics said it would have to be sent away at an unknown cost and 3 to 6 weeks to get it fixed.

Anyone have suggestions on how to get it by?

Farmtronics are funny.

Just needs to be re-traced.

Also, you can access a virtual panel from your Viper Pro, if that's what you're using....

I'm thinking it just needs the pad replaced. I'm sure I've damaged it by now.

Yes, it's a Viper Pro. How can I access the virtual panel?

On startup, where you have the menu for starting viper going to windows desktop, etc there should be an option of memory serves.
I fix lots of those pads. Half the time it needs the front cover pulled off (four screws) and the ribbon unplugged and plugged back in. The other half the time the wire is broken and it is repaired by retracing the lines.
That鈥檚 what agexpress does too which is where Farmtronics would send it.

The button no longer clicks when it's pressed now so I'm guessing it's actually in need of a new front pad, now. The connections seemed good. Could still be a broken wire.

What I鈥檓 saying, is the membranes don鈥檛 need to be replaced. They are easily repaired.

Insect Gesture Finger Thumb Nail

That鈥檚 what makes it click. I buy those buttons by the hundreds. Then you simply take the front piece apart. Re trace the traces on it and replace those buttons and it鈥檚 good as new.

see this thread for an example.
