The Australian wheat harvest on the Eastern Seaboard has been a hard one this year due to rain every few days, now that the harvest has finished for us so has the rain. The shots of the headers together were taken on a farm where at one stage there were up to 20 combines there which can make for interesting times.

Twenty minutes after these shots there was water running everywhere.

Believe it or not this is supposed to be a main road

I heard there is a farmer by the name of Ron Greentree over there that farms over 100,000 acres of wheat? Does he have a web site with pictures of his farm? Just curious, sounds like a very intersting site to see!!

After some google'ing I found that you're right - this guy grows 40.000 Ha of wheat, but that was in year 2002, and the way it looks like he is clearing land to farm it, I'd say that he is well passed the 40.000 Ha by now...

Sadly I couldn't find any pics...

Great Pics Ausfarmer, sorry to hear about the extra rain that you had. You can send some of it over to us sometime.
Hope you have a good year next year. I'm glad we can post pictures like this.
