I took a week of vacation from my normal job and helped the custom harvester that I went on wheat harvest with a few years back. I cut milo, soybeans, and corn during that week. I forgot my camera while cutting the milo and soybeans so for right now all I have are pics of the corn harvest. I'll still be helping the guy after I get off work so hopefully get a few pics of milo and soybean harvest. I would guess the corn was averaging 170-180 bpa, but the guy I was cutting for was putting everything in his bins so I'm not real sure. Enjoy

I personally loved the 'scream' that the old ones made. It sounded so mean! The newer ones are quieter, I believe its just the nature of the engine that's in there. The old combines had a muffler on them also, just might not have been much of one.

Thanks for the comments.

nebraskafarmer,

While I was helping him during my vacation, he told me that he was getting out of the harvesting business. He has done it for a long time since he is second generation. All his equipment is really slick. I believer he told me the auction was in December. Does that sound right?
