Flax. Its a health crop. Its being put in rows since flax straw doesnt rot. It will be there years from now. You either bale it up and put it in the bush. Sell it to a company that takes out the fibre. Its the best insulation. You can use it too much for bedding since its gets into their eyes and throat. You CANT use it for calving. $22/t isn't much but atleast its gone.

I disagree...

It's great if your corrals turn into muck in spring. Put 4' layers of flax straw in once a week, and it turns rock solid, and dry


Also, it's good for insulation in square bales!

Ya burn it is most popular. The company that does take the fibre out is here in Souris so thats where ours is going.

Yup, Soybeans and Edible beans are starting to catch on. Cheaper to grow than Canola and if you get a good crop you will make more.
