This year it seems like there is a lot of trash buildup on the back axle of the combine. I have a chopper on my combine but really don't use it. It runs in low speed but I don't have the chopper bar in. If I put that bar in and run the chopper on high speed will it keep the trash off of my axle? It really doesn't bother me that it is long stem. It should take less power not running the chopper. The only thing I don't like about it is the trash build up on the axle. I have heard of guys putting a piece of rubber on the axle to keep the trash off.
