while cuttings soybeans we are leaving a strips on thrashed pods in the middle. we made a piece to hang down between spinners but did not solve problem.
Probably just a adjustment on the deflectors for the spreader fans . Could be that you aren't getting the spreader assembly far enough forward to catch the chaff from the chaffer .
lower the spreaders to the lowest possible setting. the problem is you are not getting all of the chaff on the spinners. i had the same problem with canola.
