I know there are a lot of types and ways to set up grain dryers but I have an opportunity to buy a set of stacked dryers but I don't know anything about them.I have used an old farms fans cross flow dryer for years so I have some experience.

From what I can tell they would be the best capacity I can get in a drying system without going three phase power which is a big concern. What are the advantages disadvantages to using this type of setup?

We dry mostly wheat and corn on any given year and possibly sunflowers although not very often.

Stacked dryers seem to work nice. It allows you to have more temperature zones. The Gsi/Farm fans are very easy to control.

The downside is that it is tall to fill, so you probably need a bucket elevator. And you should have it anchored to a good concrete pad since it's tall enough for the wind to be a factor.
