Wondering if straight bars are necessary over the grates in corn. Have 2188 w/ 12row30in head. Or use them in soybeans or wheat either?

Yes, they are essential for corn IMO. I've tried using std bars and spikes in corn and even with the vanes fully retarded could not control rotor loss and still have an acceptable capacity.


I've run them in wheat as well, but spikes can be used just as easy.
