We have a M150 swather with a 35 ft D60 header. The previous owner hit something at the crop divider and put a slight bend in the knife or "c" channel. The header has a slight bend down and back on the one side. It works fine but was wondering if anyone has tried to straighten a knife on a Macdon header. Does anyone one have a suggestion on this or any experience with straightening these?

Your right Don. It is a slight bend from the closest tractor attach point to the end. It works fine and as the macdon guy told me the same knife is used in the flex draper and can deflect up to 7 inches.

Put a block under both ends and push down on the bend with a bale stabber be care ful you don't bend the c channel closed so it pinches the draper. I use a big Cresent wrench to fix the bent spots on the flat iron the guards mount to or bolt on an old guard and hit it with a big hammer to get the angle straight.
