I changed headgaskets and Injectors in my versatile 895 this spring and everything seemed normal for the first week of seeding but then started using about 4 litres of oil a day and could smell burnt oil in exhaust but no haze or anything. After 2 days the smell went away and oil consumption went down to about a litre or less per day. What would cause this?

Ditto on the turbo, even a new one can leak, possible took a bit for the seals to seat proper, any thing puking out the hole in the bottom of the muffler when it was doing it?

If there was no external oil leaks or anything getting into the cooling system would say your gaskets are all ok.
