I know this has been talked about before, but any more opinions. I have seen a couple red machines with just spinners doing a fine job, just 25ft. I run a 30ft. Wheat, corn, beans. wheat residue won't be a problem, either baling straw or using a stripper head. will the long stem bean vines create a problem no-tilling corn the next spring? trying to save fuel, horsepower, and up-keep. suggestions???

The chopper on red combines is up behind the rotor. Just looking at one from a distance won't tell you if it has a chopper or not. If you are doing no/strip till behind one in bean stubble, you will want a chopper

The Red Machines that you saw probably had Disrupters in them that will cut up the green stems so they will spread more evenly. We now have The Disrupter lugs for all of the JD STS machines.
Thanks, Donnie
