alright we just bought an '07 9660 with the bullet rotor. it has the round bar concaves and the smart feed rate on it. we do some custom harvest during wheat in our area in northeast nebraska and the customers like to bale the straw. I was wondering what the best thing would be to do to the concaves to get the best straw sample out of it?

I know some have used the round bars on wheat, I never have personally. We baled up several 100 acres behind ours last year, I just ran small wire concaves, cut it a little deeper than normal. The guy who baled it had no complaints, I did run the concave as open as possible and the rotor as slow as possible and still get a good sample in the bin.

Your round bars will work, but buy the interupter bar inserts, used for harder thrashing corn, as it makes them more aggressive for wheat and still gives a good sample and good threshing.
