stx 450 quad trans

I have purchased a 2002 STX 450 Quadtrac tractor. The trans in 1st forward and 1 reverse is so jumpy and fast it is almost dangerous trying to back up to an implement or to back an implement into the shed. My dealership just came out and re-calibrated the trans, but it did not help much at all. I have a 2001 STX 375 quad and it is smooth as silk.....any ideas??????

Calibrated at operating temperature? Has to be done above a minimum temp to work properly I was told.
Technician told me it needed to be at operating temp he drove tractor about 4 miles then calibrated it.... may have them retry it with the tractor cold.....thanks

I will edit my post to be more clear. It must be above a minimum temperature, I think 165 degrees??? Sounds like it was done properly. Someone smarter than me will now appear and give you a better answer...
I reread your post and figured out what you really meant....my mistake....I will keep hoping for an answer as tractor is pretty jumpy and fast in reverse right now
2002 STX only has a clutch pedal calibration. It has a pedal down and up cal and also a master clutch cal and that is it.
Ps. You don't need to pay your dealer to do it. All he has to do is push buttons on the apost. It frustrates me when dealers will take your money when they can walk you through a calibration to help solve the issue over the phone. The manual may say something too but I can't remember. If you need more info I will try and help.
