When the flooding of the area around the lake they had that hoe out there to clean up some old farm yards etc before they went under water. The hoe broke thru the ice and there it sits. They’ve tried numerous times to save, but gave up probably 5 years ago. The water is receding now and you can see it again.
I think there is a little more to this story that a few people know ?Why was it taken there to start with ,who owned it ,they made an attempt to get it out a few years ago ,Let’s here the story ??
The picture was taken a week ago. I haven't been through Dafoe in years, last time they were building up the road to keep it out of the water. The hoe is an interesting land mark now, made me double check I was seeing right!
