Have done it...do it again???? Depends, are you cutting beans or just corn and wheat? The 8820 axle sits lower on the spindle than the 9600 so it drops the rear end of the combine. If your cutting beans then it messes with your cutter bar angle.

Have to use the 9600's end for the steering cylinder, the rest is 8820 [smaller than 9600]. Plumbing is all the same. Bolt patterns are the same.
