- I have a 1997 2144 and want to install a tailings volume sensor, salesmen told me a 1997 should already have the wiring harness and all i need to get is the sensor itself, the only wiring I can find is a three prong plug beside the fan speed adjustment motor that is just hanging there, is this the plug I need?
Also will the display in the cab come on as soon as I plug the new sensor in or does something else have to be set?

Hello Jeff, I have a 97 2188 and added the tailings sensor to mine. The short piece of housing (that wraps around the flighting) between the frame and the housing for the elevator chain will have to be replaced. They use an oval shape piece to make room for the sensor. So all you should need is the housing and the sensor and the plug you see sounds like the right one. When you plug it in their will be a bar graph in your header hight display if I recall correctly. Hope this helps!
