Was wondering if you guys could give me your opinions on a 2015 FR700? We currently run Deere's and have no major complaints with them other than they are built too light and green paint has always been pretty expensive! We wanted to give the new 8000 series a year or two to work out bugs, because there will be bugs. So we have been deciding on whether to try out another NH. They look like they are headed in the right direction, they seem to be built to last. We use to run FX's which is why we now run Deere's . So any input you guys have would be great! Thanks in advance!

We've been running fr's since 2010 now. Had jd's before that. The reliability of nh is getting better it seems every time we trade. It still comes down to dealer service tho. They seem to have a pretty solid machine now. Haven't had any big issues with our current machine so far. Does the 700 have the cat engine yet or is it an iveco now? Heard they might be changing that.

The FR700 will have the CAT engine in it for one more year is what they told us. We went that way because of the torque. We demoed the FR850 with the iveco and we thought it just didnt have the torque that it should of. So hopefully we made the right decision. Thanks for the info cbass!

We currently have 2 fr600's now. 1 is a 2013 and the other is 2014. the reliability is far better than a fx. I didnt have any issues at all with either 1 that forced us to be down for more than a hour or 2. The 2015 model comes with a hydralic cylinder on the door under the cutterhead for plugs. I only had a issue with them plugging when running into rained on grass when chopping corn and extremely gummy haylage without water. I would definitly consider new holland choppers but dealer support has to be there no matter what. We also run the krone easy collect heads on ours and they have been working out great so far.

idk if its better, but it will be a in house engine, wont have to involve CAT anymore. also have heard the CAT is thirsty. who knows maybe there will be a bigger engine for the 850 down the pipe?

Are they changing the engines in the 600? Also any plans to change the silly 4 speed gear box? Our chopper is due to be changed at the end of the year so trying to decide wither to stay with NH or change to a differed breed.

We've seen pictures of that series for how many years now? The tech they "revolutionized" appeared to be them catching up to what everyone else has already done? Should be ironed out and trouble free by now "in theory". :22:

No experience with the FR's but those I've talked to who have them seem as happy as any other SPFH owner. I'm no expert, but never cared for the older ones but the FR's always looked like they were setup fairly nice.
