Can't seem to be able to find the shut off valve (if there is one) for the trany fluid when changing the filter....made a huge mess last night! Any tips for next time?

Remove air breather from top of hydralic tank and have somebody hold palm of their hand over it. That is what we do. Better than getting totally covered with oil.

take the cap off the reservoir, then fold a shop rag up and and cover the hole. While holding the rag there, take a shop vac, and suck on the rag, that is covering the hole. It can make a mess of the shop vac, but can be degreased. Holds the oil in the reservoir pretty good. Some num nut should have put a valve on there though.
