Anybody have problems with spread width with a turbo chop? We can only get 35ft. at the most, in soybeans it is unable to get much past the back tires; it has been worse then the MAV on our 590. Neighbors had a 2012 760 like ours with same problem and when they traded to 2013 780 they could get 40+ with the turbo chop. Dealer has no clues, they have worked with it. Is it possible for RPM on power spreaders to be less than it is showing on the CEBIS?
The chaff spreader is excellent, but the spread on the turbo chop is poor. Any ideas?

I also had problems with a turbo chop on a 2012 670. The valve for adjusting the speed of the spinners bypasses oil, even when set to the fastest setting. You can take it off and hook up the hoses directly. I got 120 more RPM out of the spinners (380rpm to 500rpm) and 10 more feet of spread! Total cost $0!

I tried out a 760 with a MAV and was very impressed with the spread width, so I was very disappointed when I bought my 670 with the upgraded Turbo Chop and the spread width was so terrible. Taking out the speed adjuster helps a lot.

For 2015 the 780 and the 670 get an updated Turbo Chop. It better blow my socks off or I am going to be pissed! It is a $5000 option. After I ordered my combine I found out the 2015 670 came standard with a special cut MAV chopper. Hopefully the new Turbo Chop lives up to its name.

Thanks Ditchound, I will give that a try, great suggestion. My only thought however is that spread width for us is best at 3-4 on the dial, if we run it faster it actually spreads less and our RPM on the spreaders is about 560 at this setting.

Lexionman575, we have tried all positions and would agree that the lowest position is best, along with a spinner speed of about 3-4.

Don, are you running the prochop?

When we tried it in 2010, it was leaving waves in the field due to the back and forth action, do you get this? Claas guys were telling me they have increased the speed that the prochop cycles.
