Hello,
I'm new to the forum and got here due to having problems with a TX 68 combine harvester. I can't engage the header nor the unloading auger. If I switch these plugs (drum - with unloading auger) still nothing happens.

However if I put the plug from unloading auger / header to the drum valve, I can engage the drum from both auger/header buttons in the cabin. So this tell me the electrics work ?

I also can't engage manually any of the command by pushing the valve on the side - nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong here?

Any ideas please ?

Thank you!

Hi TNT.

I have trouble with my TX66 at the start of every season with the hyd valves being sticky and having to manually run some a time or two before the solenoid will run them. Have to push the button on the valve fairly hard. Just be careful around the belts if the thresher gets engaged. Did you check for power at the solenoid plugs?

TNT, I think you verified that the signal was getting to the coils when you switched the wires to the cylinder coil. Next thing you could do is to put an ohm meter on the bad coils and see if the reading is the same as your known good coils. If not the same you could substitute the coils for the reel fore and aft hydraulic spool for your bad coils if you don't want to wait for parts.

Try deadending the lateral tilt and holding it while trying to operate the functions that dont work. I agree with Dan its probably sticky valves. If mine stick it seems when i deadend a diffeent function it will give it enough pressure to free the sticky valve. I also have not been able to operate the valves manualy on the valve block. I guess i havent been pushing hard enough.

On my TX66 after header changes, storage??? the reel/pu drive system always went back to 0 speed. Just push the speed increase button for a while. Sometimes took 20? seconds to get the speed back to working range . Had me scratching my head more than once.
Sorry, you said header , not pickup.

Hi, the problems aren't gone. Valves still sticky I guess ... I am getting better at pressing them manually though :)) . Some times they work on the button, some times they don't. It also developed a new problem, much related and much more annoying. It won't disengage the auger and sometimes also the header/drums. Can I manually disengage these somehow ?

Also, what is that tilt system ? I know nothing about it.
