We bought two tx66's a couple of years ago and noticed that the plates that lock the straw flow beater to the shaft were broke. We replaced them and the bearings and now I noticed they are broke again. Anybody else have this problem? What am I doing wrong or is this just a problem with these machines?

They are just stamped metal pieces with a locking collar welded into the center, and the plates bolt to them.

Our tx does corn soys and wheat and did not come with the straw flow beater.
Would this help in these crops or is it mostly for canola?

I think that the straw flow beater is only for smaller straw crops. The book says not to run it in corn. We are doing mostly grass seed, oats and wheat.
