I hired a pilot to spray my barley because it was too wet for my 2wd ground rig and my sprayer was broke down. He showed up 5 days after I hired him and sprayed half my field. The problem is he did not come back to finish:eek:. Upon request they gave me the map of where the pilot thinks they split the field in half. However, the map is inconclusive and the barley is already in jointing stage:mad:. What are my options? Can I spray for Broadleafs after barley is headed out? Thanks

Well i wouldent ever get him again and put the word out of what they did (or didnt do )
For sure. I am pretty disgusted. Typically when you hire someone to do custom it eases the work load. This time I was led on too long and it ended up being a headache.

Can't you walk out and see where the weeds are dead and not dead? Mcpa/bromoxinyl is good to flag leaf if that helps.
That was my first thought also. From experience I have sprayed Buctril on headed wheat and barley . Never an ideal situation but a viable solution in this case. The same situation as you have happened on a wet year for me. We finally got a plane in July after wheat was headed out, wild oats headed and lady,s thumb canopied and flowering. Avenge/Buctril knocked down the weeds and the crop made grain in the end. Good luck!
PS Are there any new chemicals that are that safe?
