We grew half upmost and half carberry last year. Both yielded about the same. It will lodge though, not nearly as bad as vesper though. It's probably one of the better midge resistant wheats around. Our wheat acres are going to be split again between carberry and upmost this coming spring.

I Have grown it for awhile now, yield has been very good similar to Harvest as its bred from this line. It will lodge a bit, the worst was on overlap on headlands, but we have had excessive moisture and it does not lodge near as bad as Unity. The protein content is decent and Fuzz was low. overall I am happy with it, and it will be our main HRS variety.

Grew it for the first time this year and was really happy with it until I harvested it. Lots of straw and high fusarium. Definitely was a bad year for fuzz and could have been the timing. I would give it another chance tho.

Had half Carberry and half Utmost last year. We are low input farmers so cannot speak to that end of it but has much lower protein potential than other varieties. Because grain buyers are putting so much value on protein this is the only reason we are not growing it next year. Under our low fertility regiment Utmost yielded 3-4 bu/acre better than Carberry but a full point lesser in protein. We can make up the bushel value of Utmost with the protein value of Carberry. Carberry is also super easy to harvest speeding up the process and reducing fuel consumption. Compared to Lillian which we have grown in the past Utmost stands well, yields well, and holds grade well.
