Hello, i had some overheating problems in my V8 Deutz. I did wheat season with no problems and i have this problems the first day in corn.

Put new air filters, changed oil and cleaned engine with water and air.

Engine oil gauge runs in the middle of the green zone but head temp is running very close to red. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot

Did you unbolt the coolers off the top of the engine & open the hinged covers on the sides of the cylinders & wash the fins of the cylinders? If you get even a small amount of oil that collects dirt & plugs the fins it will cause this. To wash one of these out properly is about a three or four hour job depending on how dirty it is. There is also an electrical connector at the back of the engine above the bellhousing. Splice the wires to eliminate the connector. Soldering the wires & putting on shrink tube with sealer in it is the best way to go.
