For those curious about the Versatile dual discharge bidirectional transverse combine, ran across patent number 4,492,237 on google and it shows pretty well how it worked. It did split the flow into two directions and fed these flows into seperate axial seperating rotors. Very interesting. Also saw patent number 3,994,303. Sort of explains why the AFX rotor didn't appear until the case NH merger. Enjoy.
