Just replaced a wobble box on a 930R header, tightened the castle nut that holds the counter weight and there seems to be a lot of vibration when ya start the knife. Run it for 30 secs and the castle nut is hot to the touch and also loose. So im wondering if I damaged the counter weight gears were it slides onto the wobble box shaft when the wobble box went out last year? Or do I tighten the living **** out of that castle nut?

thanks for your help

If the pitman arm has any wear or if it has ever been a little loose change it before it takes out your new wobble box or it will break the knife. Been there done that.
X2. The nut shouldn't have to be ridiculously tight. The fact that it's getting hot tells you that there's an impact on the splines, not a tight, smooth action.

If you run the machine over at idle and put your finger on the end of the counterweight, it should have a smooth reciprocating motion. A knock or bump in the motion will cause heat, knife head failure, or knife failure.
