We made a couple passes in corn stalks this fall & then hit it w/ a disc ripper & really liked the combination(for corn on corn ground). We used a Sunflower which was basically a disc style. The price for me does not justify using only one season. How do these things work for spring tillage? Can I replace my mulch finisher/field cultivator? It seems Deere, CaseIH, Landoll & Sunflower have very similiar machines.

think a mulch finisher is a lot different than the sunflower disc, it will probably bring up too much soil for your liking.
we do/did it this way this fall on corn stubble:
lemken->wishek->lemken and were very content with how black it is and how good the residue has been incorporated.
