......But its still 35%, oh well at least everything is ready to go. I guess this means I'll have to take a trip to Hell's Canyon with the jet boat for a early Steelhead trip while I wait for it to get down to 30%

Well I suppose you could... I started high moisture today, it's 30-36 depending where you are in the field. The feedlot wants it there though, they are grinding it and packing it in the pit. First time ever doing anything over 18. Usually we let it dry below 15 before we even start.
Re: Was going to start HM corn harvest today......

We have a local feedlot here that ran out of feed and has been begging guys to start no matter what the moisture is. I guess a few guys are going but I've heard 35 all the way up to 40%. The outfit we work with is really picky about the moisture, they will take it between 26 and 32% but they really want it between 28 and 30% and pay a one dollar a ton bonus for hitting the "bullseye". Also I hate combining corn above 30%, it works ok at 32% but any higher and it gets gummy, I'll have to get some pic's this year of the operation. Will be running a 9660STS, 7930 with a 840 bu kinze cart, and 2 Pete's with 42' self unloaders.

BTW pic's of a previous trip to Hell's
