Dear Community Members,

Over the past year, there have been updates to your community environment that have introduced challenges in usability and performance. We sincerely apologize if you have been negatively impacted. Efforts to improve the technology, user interface, and site performance has revealed weaknesses in the platform and outdated software on the site. Once we started looking at how to address these issues, it became clear that we needed to determine how to fix the underlying problems.

We needed to improve user experience, site speed, and overall performance, all while providing a secure environment for you to interact with your community. For the past few months, we have been actively seeking a resolution to these issues.

We are excited to announce that we are upgrading your site!! We have been working with a design and product development team that has enhanced Xenforo software to provide a modern and much better-performing platform. Our goal is to deliver an experience that better fits the current and growing long term needs of your community.

The new platform is designed for efficiency, stability, and to be user-friendly across all devices, including mobile. More time can be spent engaging, sharing, and contributing to your favorite community no matter where you are!

This is just the first stage of the new platform and we look forward to hearing your feedback as we make regular and timely improvements.

Thank you for all your support!

Dear Community Members,

We have posted previous messages announcing a new platform coming to your community that will provide a better experience, faster page speed and work seamlessly across all devices, including mobile. We are excited to announce that Mytractorforum.com will be migrated to our new platform on Tuesday, December 3rd. The site will be in maintenance mode and in read-only while the migration is happening. This is expected site behavior as we move all the archived content over to the new sites. There should be no change in the content within your profile. All thread content will also be migrated to the new site. Your community may look a little different but all of the important information will still be there!

If for any reason there is a change of date, we will keep you updated on an alternative rollout schedule for the site migration. We look forward to your feedback on the new experience.

We appreciate your support!

I have no faith. I was told By the admin they could merge my old account meritmat into this one. I sent the admin a pm about doing that. I got that (I have no idea what you’re talking about).

I said **** with it leave this account alone

Same exact thing happened to fordtruckworld about a decade ago. Magazine company bought it from private owner, made "improvements". Really just more ads and instability and replaced moderators with people that did not respond on check the site. Then they moved to a whole new site to cure everything.

Went from 60,000+ members and over 500,000 posts to now, zero activity since 2013.

Hope this isnt following suit but so far its been a pretty solid template.

You better believe it. Those slates had fantastic (infinite) battery life and were readable in bright sunlight or next to a candle at night. Stylus left a little to be desired.

I was in the IT industry for a long time and I've been a part of several major web site overhauls in my time. No web site redesign has ever gone over well and none of the redesigns I've ever seen actually improved anything.

As long as I can still use the classic look and feel on this forum I'll be happy (spoiler, I probably won't be able to).

That all said, what we have now could use a very few usability enhancements. For example posting pictures is not an easy process for many people.

Yeah, I better PM you my email so if it all goes to crap you can still keep sending me your GF pics........:1:
Sounds good but that will force me to get my own email as I use my wife's for everything and there are certain things she doesn't need to know about the past.

AND I wouldn't exactly call her my girlfriend we just dated for a bit, you can get better pics online than what I've got anyway, Miss October 2003. Audra Lynn.

Well did some checking and I see I do have my password wrote down on the list stuck in the door frame by my desk, unbelievably since this site is so worried about all the high tech secrets, it is the most complicated and longest one on that list and if it wasn't wrote down no way I would have ever remembered it, no wonder many others don't either...after all the fiascoes we've had on here I aint holding my breath for this one, Y2K had less issues then this forum seen in the past...
Here's hoping we all make it out the other side Dec 4!
