Called the local Lexion dealer(in this case 2 hrs away) about a new or slightly used machine, possibly class 8 or 9. We would have an S670 to trade, was told that they weren't sure if they could take trades right now due to an ex-salesman's carelessness on trade values in another state, he was going to check......never heard back. I guess that's a no?

Not trying to throw anyone under the bus or tell someone how to run their business, we all have hard decisions to make. I was looking forward to seeing what this machine could do, but I won't buy one without local-ish dealer support. Deere here has been nothing short of spectacular on service, so S690 it is?

I woulnt buy a combine without any dealer support. They all break eventually. Some sooner than others. :trac1:

It has become apparent to me whether it is ag equipment, vehicles, bins, or whatever that the #1 rule for all salesmen is that the phone only works 1 way. I'll get that info and phone you right back means they may or may not look into that and then wait for you to phone back.

+1 saskfarm ... I think their sales may have been coming to easily the last few years. In Ag anyways.

My tune changed today, had a salesman come to my farm today, asked if I had any questions about my new drill. I did, actually had lots (bought a used bourgault 3310) he answered all of my questions including ones I didn't even know to ask! And guess what, I bought the drill from a competitor. In the future I'm going to try a little harder to buy local (from him) I was really clueless on this unit, like a blind man at an orgy I had to feel things out.
