Thanks to all of you for your concern. It's been hard to stay away but found no spare time to participate. We had a house fire and were lucky not to lose it. I come home from work a bit after 12 noon for a little lunch and found house full of smoke. Smoke poring out of area near auto dishwasher. I was able to find portable phone but didn't think I was getting threw to emergency 911. Then ran threw smoke to find hard wired phone and still didn't think I was getting threw. Didn't know if phone lines were burnt or not and cell phone laying on desk at shop. Drove a block to phone from local grocery store. Fire dept only a couple blocks away and were here in minutes. SCBA's were on in short order and some of my best friends headed into the unknown. In short order they had the flames knocked down and were tearing out cabinets and walls to get the embers. Many thanks to them and neighboring town fire dept for stopping fire just short of burning threw into the roof. One cat must of took on a bunch of smoke but made it and the other just about scared to death for we found him in far corner of basement curled up in a corner shivering. Kitchen and ceiling in surronding rooms took the biggest hit while rest of house smoked up bad. Everything very repair or replaceable. Best friend who is the major contractor in town was boarding up the outside wall to keep the winter out as others worked at getting furnace back up and running before fire department had even left. Another set of best friends were over at my dads getting his house that was in winter storage warmed up, water flowing, cable on ect. Insurance adjusters and investigaters were here quickly and the cleanup began next day. Kitchen was a few days later as they needed to determine exact cause. Seems as though something on outside left wall of dishwasher about half way up was where it started. Dishwasher hadn't been run in about 30 hours and I had been home to pickup a Tom Tom only three hours earlier. Anyway were back in our nicely rebuilt house just in time for my dad to get back from wintering down south. Oh it is so great to live in a small rural town. I owe so many thanks to so many. Now I got to catch up on all the great Gleaner talk I've been missing.
Thanks and take care all,
Dan
