I need to find MacDon headed for my R62 any tips on size I need. Also can you take one off another colored combine and make it work? Will be cutting hrw wheat with it. I was thinking 30 or 32'.
Either of those are an ideal size for that big of a combine. I would think a 36' is a little too much, though. They are more expensive than your auger headers, though. Check the dealer over in Enid. I think he also sells MacDon products.
Why not look for a Agco header? I have had 2 now and like them both!! Much cheaper than a Macdon. A nice 5000 or a 5100 with the new style auger I think you will like. All the adapters fit ( massey, gleaner, challenger) just have to change the plates on the back to fit.
