What I remember they were made from 1975 - 1984. Not sure on the exact time frame. they were a 42 in. machine and were popular in western Canada. In our area the only brand and model that was more popular was a MF 750 and 510. They had a 80 bushel hopper and a 107 hp. engine.

Just happen to have one of my books laying here...

Previous to 1975 they were labeled Cockshutt in Canada and Oliver in the US. Oliver models were sold from 1969 thru '76. I believe Cockshutt would have commenced in '69 as well. Was an updated version of the 542.

Was a few years back now, but I remember about a fellow who picked up a 555 that had a thread on here with those old girls being discussed, you might find something there of interest, also search more on the forum for others. Here is that one...
