Anyone planting yet? No doubt there`s some feed oats gone in and maybe some dual purpose long season wheat, some Faba bean and maybe some early barley going in now.

No one going here, not quite enough moisture and no sub soil moisture = too risky.
Should have dried out enough by the weekend, so will start proper dry sowing canola then.

bear "12 bags"! Thats old school and keeping it real! Love it!

Had xb lambs on blackbutt since 15th of march and wheat is now ready to feed off , after the rain this week the triticale will be ready soon too.
Had about 50mm in the last 5 days , patchy here some blokes have had upto 100mm.

I've started sowing grass seed for the father in law and I'll do 2 of my paddocks Friday. Had 13mm last week but forecasting more this weekend. Next door neighbour is sowing revenue wheat today. Up until now it's been a very dry start to the year after a dud spring.

Got a mate up at beulah who have sown all there hay oats and vetch and will finish canola tonight but having a break before sowing wheat and barley.

Hope all the northern guys get a decent go at it.

Cheers

Mark

Planted wedgetail wheat on just 22mm over Easter, then 53 mm last 2 days given 60-80cm moisture so will now plant a little canola, then wheat and as much chickpeas as rotation will allow. All in by end May hopefully
NDF disc planter did great job planting grazing wheat into 75mm band wet soil and got up in 5 days with 30 C degree days
