Looking at making a purchase of a 9682. And also found a morris maxim 2 (49')with a 8425 tank. Just wondering if this combination will work. Have been told it will but tractor will not handle much more. Openers are single shoot 3/4 inch knives I believe. And has 10 inch spacing. I do not farm in a lot of hills, but do have a few to contend with. Any input or opinions are welcome, as I am shopping for a different tractor, drill, and cart. Thanks

I'm pulling 50' slim Flexi-Coil with 2340 cart, 7.5" space with 3/4" knives. Pulling it with 936 tuned to 350 hp with no problem at all (flat to small sandy hills).

I would think it would handle it fine. I pull a 45' Flexicoil, 9" spacing with 2320 tbh tank in some fairly good hills with a 9680. It is double shoot, but am using atom jet side bands, the tractor handles it fine, never run out of power and only at 10% slip max on hills, most time slip is only 3-4%

what rubber is on it ?

We have a 9682 pulling 47' and 440 bushel tank tow between. Hills cause some issues if soft soil otherwise no problems. If fairly flat land wouldn't be scared of even more feet

Used to pull 54' 5710 on 10" spacing with a 1" vertical opener, MRB's and a 6550 tank. It was doable but the old girl was maxed out. Have a few sharp hills to pull, usually had to gear down or make sure the tank was half full or less. Had the same combo with a 5440 before that and it was a little better match.

I don't know much about Morris drills but I think you'll be fine unless you are in a heavy clay soil.

We are pulling a 60' p2070 drill on 10" spacing with p1060 cart and 2100 gal liquid fertilizer tank. It was maxed out and we're not filling things full in our hills but managed on our flat ground. Bumped the horsepower to 400 or so, made a big difference.

You can have Cummins bump fuel pump up 10 percent, and will start good, appx 4000 hrs needs injectors, and valves set, weight kit? Scott.

We pull 47' Morris contour with side band dbl shoot openers and a 450 bu tank with our 9680 no problem even in hills. Tires are 20.8's and are worn down to about 40% and traction is still good on dry ground. In a wet slough its not good with the old tires to be expected. I imagine the maxim might pull a little harder with the same openers. Ours are about 3" wide.

HP means nothing if you can not put it to the ground. If the tractor does not weigh 100 lbs per hp at least, then you could put triples on and it still wont pull.
