Looking at buying a 2100 4 shank ripper and not so sure in our clay hills our 70's model 8430 will handle it. Also worried about being 3pt because before we bought our 712 chisel plow we had a 3pt 9 shank and ripped it half apart due too strips around hills. Maybe a caddie could be found or would the ripper hold up? Thanks

the ripper will hold up, my neighbor ripped the 3-point apart on his 2670 Case, he figures he hit a rock and the shear pin was welded. As far as your tractor pulling it, dad had a 5 shank zone builder on his 8430. No hills and good black dirt. It pulled it ok, needed better tires and some weight may have helped. You didnt have enough power to run away with it.
