Our corn is currently at 1/4 starch line, about 3 weeks behind last year. With the late planting, we've accumulated 2326 GDD, about 50 GDD behind normal for the time period.


The first killing freeze around here is Oct 11-20, close enough to make a body nervous.


How does it look across the country? Will the USDA react much to an early freeze?

was up at bigiron and looks like some crops around fargo will be hurt by a frost for sure. around southern manitoba it depends how much rain you got if you had lots it will be on the edge if you dried out it will black layer in a week.
