My brother and I are both in our 20's, and are involved in the family farm with our dad. My brother and dad are on the farm full time, while I do a bit of off-farm contract work during the winter/slow times. We both have university degrees (his in Crop Sciences, mine in Mechanical Engineering), but feel we could use training in more practical, hands-on skills (welding, small engine repair, electrical troubleshooting, etc.)

Does anyone have recommendations for good courses/training sessions that would be geared for/applicable to farmers? I have looked into what NAIT and Vermilion College offer - are there other options out there?? We are located in the Edmonton area. Thanks!
