Anyone seeding their winter wheat with a Salford RTS and an air cart? I'm considering trying some but cannot convince myself that seed depth will satisfactory. I plan on broadcasting and using the RTS to "incorporate" as a test, although its not very representative of the final system.

Any insight would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance.

I have broadcast canola with a Valmar on my RTS. Works pretty good when it's too wet for the drill. I would consider flax this way too, but I wonder if a cereal would work unless it's cool and faily wet for a while after 'sowing'

Guy I know uses an rts with the boot behind the disk and seems to work pretty good. Haven't spent much time checking depth though.

Ben I agree, soil moisture is critical with this method. I can easily see seeds drying out before ever starting to germinate if conditions are even slightly dry.
Blyth, do you know what he was using before the rts to plant?
