I am trying to wire a gps into an 2004 model CX 840 with the monochrome infoview monitor. This is to be used with the datalogger and yield meter to produce Yield maps.
I have read elsewhere that it is possible to wire a serial GPS into the 8 pin connector in the cab if the software is updated to the correct version. What I do not know is what each of the pins are on the New Holland connector to figure out how to connect them. I found different codes beginning with CR but could not find what these relate to. e.g. CR855. Does anyone here know where I could find this out, and if this is the correct method?
I was looking to purchase a Garmin 17x HVS nmea 0183 for the task is this a suitable choice?
Thanks in advance
